Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC):
The HML/RHSE detector incorporates an ASIC, which, combined with the latest thermal element technology, enables efficient and accurate detection of fires. This makes the detector particularly suitable for environments with high levels of airborne contamination where smoke detectors may not be appropriate, such as bars or kitchens.
Backward Compatibility:
The HML/RHSE detector, along with other detectors in the HML Series, is backward compatible with the Series 100 detector bases. This allows for easy upgrading, extension, and maintenance of existing Series 100 installations, providing flexibility and cost-effectiveness.
Bi-Color LED Indicator:
The HML/RHSE detector features a bi-color LED indicator. The LED changes color to indicate the detector's status, with green indicating normal operation and red indicating an alarm condition. This visual indication offers clear and instant information about the detector's condition. The green LED can be programmed for blink or no-blink operation.
Remote Hand-Held Programming Unit:
The HML/RHSE detector can be programmed and accessed using a remote hand-held programming unit. This unit provides access to advanced features, such as reading and writing the last maintenance date, reading the value of the thermal element, and performing an alarm test. These features enhance the detector's functionality and simplify maintenance and commissioning tasks.
Unique Address Display:
Each HML/RHSE detector can be assigned a unique address, which is displayed on the Honeywell Morley Lite Panel LCD whenever the detector is in alarm. This provides clear identification and visibility of the detector's location during an alarm event.
